The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation said Mugabe, who left for Singapore last Saturday, “had eye surgery in the Asian country a few years ago” and had returned for a “routine medical check-up”.

This week’s trip there is Mugabe’s third there this year.

Collapse storey building kills one person at tachiman

A two storey building under construction has collapsed a Techiman in the Brong Ahafo region killing one person.

The incident is said to have happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

According to Joy News correspondent Anass Sabit, another person who was in the building when it collapsed is in a critical condition and has been hospitalised at the Techiman Holy Family Hospital.
